Drizzle the Timid Cloud | डरपोक बादल ड्रिजल
A shy little cloud learns to overcome fear and find courage to help others. A gentle story about building confidence and discovering your own strength.

Drizzle the Timid Cloud
High up in the fluffy white sky lived a little cloud named Drizzle. While all the other clouds were big and bold, floating confidently across the heavens, Drizzle was small and worried. He had the softest gray color, like a cozy sweater, but he was scared of one very important thing.
Drizzle was afraid to rain.
The Fear of Disappearing
"What if I disappear when I rain?" Drizzle would whisper to himself every morning. "What if there's nothing left of me?"
He watched as his cloud friends happily sprinkled rain on the gardens below. They would laugh and dance as they poured water onto the thirsty flowers and trees. But when they asked Drizzle to join them, he would shake his fluffy head and float away to hide behind the bigger clouds.
"Come on, Drizzle!" called his friend Cumulus, a big puffy cloud with a booming voice. "The sunflowers down there are looking pretty thirsty!"
"Maybe tomorrow," Drizzle would mumble, drifting further away.
Seeing the Suffering Below
One particularly hot summer day, Drizzle floated low over Mrs. Patterson's garden. He gasped when he saw what was happening below. The roses that had been so beautiful and red were now drooping their heads sadly. The daisies looked wilted, and even the strong oak tree's leaves were turning brown around the edges.
A little girl named Emma came running out of the house with a tiny watering can. She ran from flower to flower, trying her best to give each one a drink, but the watering can was so small, and the garden was so big.
"Please don't die, little flowers," Emma said softly, her eyes filled with tears. "I'm trying to help you, but I'm just not big enough."
Drizzle's cloudy heart ached. He wanted to help so badly, but he was still terrified of what might happen to him.
The Sun's Wise Words
Just then, the golden Sun peeked through the other clouds and noticed Drizzle hovering anxiously above the garden.
"Hey there, little friend," the Sun said in his warm, gentle voice. "I can see you care about what's happening down there."
"I do," Drizzle whispered. "But I'm scared, Mr. Sun. What if I rain and then... and then I'm not me anymore?"
The Sun chuckled softly, like the sound of wind chimes on a breezy day. "Oh, Drizzle. Can I tell you a secret?"
Drizzle floated closer, eager to listen.
"Every time you give rain to the world, you don't disappear. You transform. You become part of the flowers, part of the trees, part of the happy children playing in puddles. And then, when the time is right, you rise back up to the sky, carrying all those happy memories with you."
"Really?" Drizzle asked, his gray color brightening just a little.
"Really," the Sun nodded. "And something else magical happens too. But you'll have to try it to see."
Finding Courage
Drizzle looked down at Emma, who was now sitting next to a wilted sunflower, gently patting its stem. "It's okay, Mr. Sunflower. Maybe tomorrow it will rain."
That was it. Drizzle couldn't watch any longer. His fear seemed suddenly much smaller than his desire to help.
"Okay," he said to himself, taking a deep cloudy breath. "I can do this. These flowers need me."
Slowly, carefully, Drizzle let himself grow heavier with moisture. He felt the water droplets forming inside him, cool and fresh. It felt strange but not scary —?more like getting ready to give the world's biggest hug.
The Magic of Giving
And then, Drizzle let it rain.
Gentle drops fell from his soft gray clouds, patting the thirsty earth like tiny kisses. The roses lifted their heads and seemed to smile. The daisies straightened up and began to sparkle. The oak tree's leaves rustled with joy.
Down below, Emma jumped up and danced in the rain, laughing and spinning with her arms wide open. "It's raining! It's raining!" she shouted happily.
But the most amazing thing happened next. As Drizzle rained, he felt himself becoming lighter, not heavier. Instead of disappearing, he felt like he was glowing from the inside out. The happiness from the flowers, the trees, and little Emma seemed to float back up to him, making him feel bigger and more important than ever before.
The Beautiful Surprise
And then, just as the Sun had hinted, something truly magical happened. As Drizzle's rain mixed with the Sun's warm rays, the most beautiful rainbow appeared across the sky. It had seven perfect bands of color: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
"Look!" Emma cried, pointing up at the sky. "It's the most beautiful rainbow I've ever seen!"
Drizzle stared in wonder. He had helped create this incredible arch of colors stretching across the heavens.
"You see?" the Sun said with a proud smile. "When you share your gifts with the world, you don't lose yourself. You become part of something even more beautiful."
A New Understanding
From that day on, Drizzle was no longer afraid to rain. He learned that every time he watered the earth, he wasn't losing himself —?he was finding himself. He was discovering that his purpose was to help things grow and to bring joy to others.
Whenever children needed puddles to splash in, Drizzle was there. When gardens grew thirsty, Drizzle was ready. And sometimes, when the timing was just perfect, he and the Sun would work together to paint rainbows across the sky.
The other clouds welcomed Drizzle into their rain-dancing games, and he became known as the kindest cloud in the sky. His soft gray color became a sign of gentleness and caring, and children would look up and wave whenever they saw him approaching.
The Heart of Giving
Drizzle learned that being brave doesn't mean you're never scared. It means doing the right thing even when you feel afraid. He discovered that when you use your gifts to help others, you don't become smaller —?you become bigger, more joyful, and more yourself than ever before.
And on quiet evenings, when Drizzle floated peacefully across the sunset sky, he would remember little Emma dancing in his rain and the flowers lifting their faces in gratitude. These memories filled his cloudy heart with warmth and reminded him that sometimes the most beautiful magic happens when we overcome our fears to help others.
The End
Remember: Everyone has special gifts to share with the world. When we're brave enough to use them, we discover that giving to others fills our hearts with joy and helps us grow into who we're meant to be.
